Need for Speed: ProStreet is the 11th installment of Electronic Arts' popular racing game series Need for Speed. On May 21, 2007, Electronic Arts published a teaser trailer of ProStreet, and officially announced it ten days later.^[3] It was released worldwide in November 2007.^[1]

The demo, featuring two races, one speed challenge and one grip race, appeared on Xbox Live on October 26, 2007, on PlayStation Store on November 1, 2007, and on PC on November 2, 2007.

While the football management genre has hit a peak of depth and realism, there's no doubt that it remains a little daunting for beginners. FIFA Manager 08 aims to fill the gap between the hardcore management simulations and such games as FIFA Soccer 08 with an approachable football management game that has many different features to distinguish it. Most notably, the 3D match engine is more visually engaging than similar features in other management games, plus the official license affords a mountain of team logos and player photos to break up the stats. This year, the game is a deeper experience than ever with revamps of the training, player interaction, and scouting elements. The game struggles to present all the information coherently if you play at the hardest difficulty, but otherwise, it's a decent, glossy alternative to other games in the genre.

The match engine isn't up to the visual standard of FIFA 08, but player likenesses are impressive.

FIFA Manager 08 makes an excellent first impression. British gamers, in particular, will feel a warm glow when the theme song from the Grandstand TV show kicks off the welcome screen, and high production values are evident throughout the game. As with any management title, you start by choosing the domestic or international club for which you want to work. If you choose to raise a team from the ranks of the lower divisions, you'll have fewer resources and lower expectations, but if you pick a world-class club, you'll have some very serious board expectations. However, FIFA Manager 08 helps you juggle the demands of whatever club you choose by allowing you to palm off certain aspects of the running to your assistants. If your interest is in finding and cultivating talent rather than wading through spreadsheets of numbers, then your finance team is there to take care of it. Alongside this, FIFA Manager 08 places an emphasis on creating your manager rather than being the manager. You're asked how you want to look, how big you want your family to be, and what sort of hobbies you want to pursue. Learning a foreign language will help you secure a job in another country, while playing golf may enamour you to the board members of another team.

iblog-youblogEA Sports' Cricket series has bumbled on for a number of years now, struggling to impress even the kindest of critics. Just like Tubby Taylor when he was on the rack in 97, it's been poking around at the crease and doing a woeful job of it. Some could blame pitiful development budgets or a dev team who couldn't really give a crap about some little niche sport from Down Under; but whatever the reason, EA Sports just haven't fielded a decent Cricket game in absolute yonks.

Finally, that's changed. Now, we're not saying Cricket 07 is the best thing since Herschel Gibbs dropped the World Cup, but there are enough improvements in this year's effort to make it a much more enjoyable game than the last few put together.

Oiling The Willow
One of the reasons this version of Cricket works that much better is the decision to go with an analogue stick batting system. Dubbed the Century Stick, the concept is that it gives you an intuitive way of choosing where to play your shot - you just tip the stick in the desired direction. The degree of tilt you add to the stick influences the power in the stroke, so a gentle lean should theoretically just knock the ball away for a single, where a decided push results in a more forceful drive, cut, pull or hook and so on.

You also influence the shot your batsman will play by holding L1 to add loft (when attempting to hit the ball over the top of the field), or R1 for advancing down the crease if you decide to attack something short or slow. On top of that, there's also a foot selection option (which is thankfully an automated thing, unless you go into the options and switch it over to manual). This forces you to choose whether your batsman will play on the front or back foot, which again requires more shoulder button pressing. Ultimately, it's a bit fiddly to want to bother with, but at least it's there for those who are sticklers for detail.

Because there's only a couple of seconds when the ball is bowled to decide which shot you're going to play, pushing the stick to "hit" the ball is just so much more intuitive than having to remember which button on the controller has the stroke you want. The timing required in your shot has been made a little more forgiving too, so your entire team won't get out for zero the first time you play.

Running between the wickets is still just a matter of tapping the Circle button, where two taps will immediately make your batsmen push for a second run. Because of a permanent PIP display in the corner, you can always see if it's worth the risk. The AI is still extremely accurate in the field - we saw only one dropped catch after a week of play on the medium difficulty - but there are occasions when you get overthrows and fumbles which is good to see.

Your batsman also has a confidence meter that you need to monitor when he first gets to the crease. If you try to play wild shots from the get go you're more likely to get out cheaply, so a conservative start is needed to warm you up into a slogging machine.

We do like the fact that hopeless batting bunnies like Glenn McGrath tend to catch the edge of the bat more often, or loop the ball up into the air off simple straight bat shots. There's a much larger degree of error with the inexperienced batsmen, so you really have to work to get your runs on the board, just as those blokes have to do in real life.

He started out by ambushing and beating to death another kid who bullied him, and discovered he enjoyed killing. Later, he blew a mans head off over a bet and sliced up another one open to see how long it took him to bleed to death. In another murder that many of us have contemplated, a motorist who cut him up was run off the road and beaten to death. He was arrested in 1983 in an undercover cocaine-dealing operation; but it wasn't until later the police realized he planned to kill the undercover cop and take the money and drugs. In custody, he claimed most of his kills were hit jobs done to support his family. He got life and is now in a maximum security cell right down the highway from this studio in New Jersey. Our first countdown extra is Richard “Iceman” Kuklinski…with over 40 murders.

We’re counting down the 40 biggest serial killers that you may have missed, and we’ve climbed all the way to number 10. He was an Indonesian witch doctor who buried his victims near his house, with the loving assistance of his 3 wives. He had a reputation for paranormal powers and preyed on women who secretly asked him to cast spells on their husbands or families. He charged each one $200 - 400, and then buried them up to the waist in a nearby sugarcane plantation as part of the ritual. He'd then strangle them with cable, strip them and just to add a little panache---he’d lovingly drink their saliva. Arrested in 1997, he told police he needed to kill 70 women to get magical powers. Although only 40 bodies were found, over 80 women are still missing in the area. No word on the magical powers. He killed 42 women and he comes in at #10. It’s Ahmad Suradji from North Sumatra, which is beautiful, especially this time of year.

When the police finally arrested our #9 serial killer that you may have missed on April, 16 1996, the mentally disturbed former forestry student denied he was 'The Terminator', slayer of over 52 people and the Ukraine's most prolific killer. However, he did admit to eight deaths between 1989 and 1995. When he was taken into custody he had a shotgun matching the one used in over 40 of the killings, and jewelry and video players belonging to some of the victims. His modus operandi was to find families in isolated houses and shoot them at close range, torching the houses afterwards and shooting any passer by who happened to be in the area at the time. During a three-month rampage near the Polish border he killed over 40 people in one village, but remained at large despite the mobilization of an army division specifically deployed to capture him. Why did he do it? Well, Inner voices of course! At #9 with a bullet is ANATOLY ONOPRIENKO from the Ukraine with 52 serial murders.

At number 8 on our list of the top 40 serial killers you may have missed was a member of the Communist Party. As if that didn’t make him psychotic enough, as he grew older he began stalking children, disemboweling and mutilating them. His crimes were overlooked for years because he was a Party member and the Russians weren't keen to admit a child-killing sadist was stalking their utopia. His trial in 1994, full of descriptions of how he'd boil and eat his victims, was the first celebrity serial killer trial in the former USSR. There's a film version, Citizen X, with Donald Sutherland, which might make you want to become a serial killer yourself. Finally he was killed by firing squad in 1994. At number 8 is ANDREI CHIKATILO from Russia with over 52 murders.

We started with our feet on the ground, and we’re now reaching for the stars—by the way that is an analogy not a literal fact. At #7 on our top serial killers you may have missed countdown is a German laundry van driver who between 1928 and 1943, strangled and stabbed his female victims, with little discrimination. Having been arrested for killing one woman, he promptly confessed to dozens of others. The Nazis having already sterilized him as a mental defective and suspected rapist, could not indict him because he was insane - as fact that he delighted in pointing out. They solved the problem by sending him to a research hospital in Vienna, where he was used as a human guinea pig. On April 8 1944 one of the experiments in which he was involved in proved fatal. Finally, the Nazi's do something right. At #7 is Bruno Ludke with 86 big murders.

Our countdown extra was a straightforward woman hater. Between 1969 and 1978 he killed 41 'bitches' in Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but unusually didn't sexually assault any of them. "He thinks about three things: stereo systems, cars and killing women," one of the investigating officers explained. Florida killed him in 1983. This week’s countdown extra committed 41 murders—he’s GERALD STANO- our countdown extra.

Our #6 serial killers that you may have missed ran a bordello in Mexico. They recruited working girls, got them hooked on drugs and forced them to serve the perverse and humiliating desires of their clientele. If girls became too ill, after being damaged by repeated rape or lost their looks, they killed them. One day, the police picked up a prostitute on suspicion of kidnapping young girls in the area, and she gave up the sisters. When police raided the bordello they uncovered the remains of 11 men, 80 women and several fetuses. The sisters weren’t sentenced to death…or life in prison…No, they got 40 years each. You gotta love that Mexican Justice System. It’s the sister duo of Delfina and Maria De Jesus Gonzales with over 91 murders, coming in at #6.

We’re counting down the serial killers you may have missed, all the way from #40 ti #1. Here in America, our national pastime is the sport of baseball. However, in Russia, they prefer cannibalism. Our #5 serial killer known as 'Metal Fang' because of his white metal false teeth - is the king of the Soviet cannibals, slaughtering and serving up his victims to his dinner guests in the Russian republic of Kazakhstan. He believed women and prostitution were the root of all-evil…not serial killing or cannibalism. After friends discovered a head and intestines in the kitchen he was sent to an insane asylum, from which he bribed his way out. He was then incarcerated after being found guilty of only seven murders, but escaped again in 1989. The embarrassed Russian authorities never admitted he'd got out, and spent two years trying to recapture him, eventually tracking him to Uzbekistan. That Russian government seems pretty competent, huh? Well, just listen to the comments from the Interior Minister Colonel: calling this serial killer "absolutely normal, but at one point [he] got a taste of female meat." He never went back to jail, instead he resides in another mental institution, until his planned escape this summer. It’s Nickolai Zur-mong-a-live our first triple digit entry with 100 murders, at #5.

On the day that after the confession of the Green River killer, we’re counting down some of the serial killers you may have missed—from #40 all the way to #1. He was dubbed America's meanest serial killer. His history of violence has been traced back to watching a cobra eat a live rat at a carnival. He spent most of his childhood getting into trouble, and because of his small stature was frequently abused in prison. He snapped and killed a notorious murderer while the man was going to the bathroom, making him a legend in serial killer fan circles. It’s kind of sick that there are serial killer fan circles huh? Anyway, he was released in 1969, and began to carry out two varieties of killings while making money from stealing cars. His 'coastal kills' were people he picked up driving around the Deep South and murdered for pleasure, while his 'serious murders' were people he knew and disliked. After killing another inmate in a maximum-security jail, Pee Wee was finally put to death on September 6 1991. His autobiography, the strangely lyrical “Final Truth”, was published posthumously, and is our “Killer” Serial Killer book of the week where we recommend the best books written by complete psychos. 'Hi, I’m the worst impression of Kasey Casem in modern history, counting down the 40 most fabulous serial killers that you may have missed. Those serial killers who don’t get the publicity of a John Wayne Gasey, Charles Manson or Jeffrey Dahmer. But since the goal of the media is to make legends out of these people for ratings, we thought we’d hop right on to that frickin’ bandwagon. Now, on with the countdown. At number 3 is a doctor who started out stealing corpses from the University of Michigan before moved onto Chicago. There, he made o fortune with a chain of drug stores. And if there is anything worse than a pathetic loser turned serial killer, it’s a rich successful serial killer—and that’s what our #3 entry was. He used his wealth to build a 100 room mansion full of gas chambers, trap doors, acid vats, lime pits and secret doors. During the 1893 World Fair he rented rooms and killed most of their occupants. Then he moved on to attracting women to his home, and forcing them to sign over their savings before throwing them down an elevator shaft and gassing them. When police became a tad upset, he burned his torture castle down. The remains of his victims were found in the ruins. He then became the first celebrity serial killer in the US after a sensational trial. It was the trial of the millennium, until that was broken every 2 weeks since OJ. He was finally hanged on May 7 1896. It’s Herman Mudgett, aka H.H. Holmes with over 200 big murders!

Our number 2 entry on the countdown of the top 40 serial killers you may have missed is a duo of men---the first, had kind of a rough start in life. His alcoholic father was left legless after an encounter with a freight train and killed himself because of his prostitute wife's nagging. Then while playing with a knife as a kid, he sliced his own eye open, and as high mom did nothing about it, so he had to have it removed. On another occasion she sent him to school in girls' clothing with curled hair. Not exactly the recipe for a future president. Unsurprisingly he began his killing spree by sticking a knife in his Mom’s back and having his way with her dead body. He served 10 years in a State Psychiatric Hospital for that loving tribute to his mom. On his release he launched into a killing spree, having already warned the authorities he was going to kill again.

The other half of the duo was even more screwed up. A mentally challenged individual with transvestite tendencies, he had a taste for human flesh. His partner only failed to join his meals because, he said, he disliked the choice of barbeque sauce. The pair specialized in the random killing of hitchhikers; often just running them over when they weren't in the mood for torture. In effect, they were kind of lazy mass murderers. But they had a falling out when “killer #1” began having sex with “killer #2’s” seven year old niece. Ahhh, the silly fights among friends.

The exact amount of their murders was not known. They eventually confessed to over 500 murders between them; but experts doubt that figure and maintain that 200 is more reasonable. Some believe that they may have only murdered a handful of people, and was simply fed information by police officers keen to clear up innumerable unsolved killings. The murders were immortalized in one of the worst movies of all time-- the 1989 cinematic classic Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Killer #1, Henry Lee Lucas, currently awaits execution in Texas. Killer #2 Ottis Toole died of liver failure in 1996 while serving six consecutive life sentences. With over 200 believed murders it’s the Tandem of Henry Lee Lucas and Ottis Toole coming in at #2.

We’ve climbed the charts of the serial killers from the “just kind of annoying hitchhiker killers” to the people on the “evil Bush administration” level. And now we’re all the way to #1. He was kicked out by his prostitute mother at the age of eight, after she caught him fondling his younger sister. Then in a happy example of poetic justice, he was picked up by a pedophile and raped. In prison later in life, he was raped again, retaliating by killing three of his rapists.

By 1978 it's reckoned he'd killed at least 100 girls in Peru; but he wasn’t done yet. When attention fell on him he moved back to his native Columbia and then on to Ecuador. Here he killed three girls a week on average, preferring them because they were "more gentle and trusting, more innocent." In 1980 police uncovered one of his many victims' graves and he was rapidly arrested and tricked into confession while being held in prison.

At first police refused to believe the numbers he mentioned but he quickly identified the sites of more than 50 burials, lending credence to his claim as the most prolific serial killer to date. He was convicted of murder in Ecuador, and now will languish in prison for the rest of his life, which unfortunately is far too kind. (TYMPANI) His high number of murders along with his propensity for pre-teens, lands him at #1 on our top 40 serial killers that you may have missed. His name Pedro Alonso Lopez, with over 300 murders---coming in at #1.

October 21, 2005 - Let's get it out of the way right at the start: the only reason to stop playing Civilization IV is to tell other people just how good the game is. We here at IGN have been playing the game almost non-stop since we got our first playable versions. The first time we laid hands on the game we felt that Firaxis was doing something special with the series. As newer, more complete builds came our way, our expectations for the game only grew. After having spent a lot of time playing through the final version, we can safely say that Civilization IV is the best version of Civilization yet.
The first thing you need to understand is that Civilization IV is a fundamental reinvention of the franchise. Fans should be assured that all the basic concepts from Civilization are still here, but many of the more obnoxious or troublesome elements have been greatly improved upon. City production, combat, and culture have all been tweaked to allow for more intuitive application within the game. Concepts like civil disorder, predictable tech paths, pollution and the creeping pace of the late game have all benefited from substantial revisions that make them more manageable and enjoyable aspects of your strategy.

On top of these revisions, Civilization IV finally offers up a presentation worthy of the gameplay. A new graphics engine adds life and charm to the world, making the experience really come alive. The interface elements have all been refined to ease access and readability. A wealth of fantastic music highlights the entire experience with a pitch-perfect voiceover assist from Leonard Nimoy.
I'm still amazed at the way information is presented in this game. While all versions of Civilization have allowed players to dig down into the numbers behind the game mechanics, Civilization IV offers such ready access to these figures that you'll get a really good sense of how the game is working. Mousing over terrain tiles tells you what the defense bonus is, the resource yield, any special resources (and the improvement needed to utilize them), as well as the ownership of the tile. What's more, it will even list all the units in the square, their strength, movement, identity and any promotions they have.
The game map also shows off a lot of information. Since there are many more types of terrain improvements this time around, you'll be able to tell just by looking at the map whether a given tile is generating food, commerce or production. There are options you can turn on to highlight certain resources. This makes it much easier to pick out where the key deposits are. Similar options let you see military units, resource yields, cultural ownership and other factors. Since there are many more terrain improvements this time around (and since you'll need to build them before you can access strategic resources or luxuries), having this information handy makes strategic planning much more convenient.
Though the new interface is wonderful, there are a few areas where more could be done. The announcements that your rivals have completed a wonder or founded a new religion should be put right in your face, not off to the side in the smallest font the game has available. While some players might find pop-ups more obnoxious, it would certainly help me stay oriented to what's going on during the game. The comprehensive Civilopedia offers all kinds of information, but there should be cross-linking for civic types and terrain improvements. While it's not a big deal while you're just browsing, it's kind of limiting when you're selecting a new technology and can't access the other entries.

One of the very first things that made me interested in electronic gizmos such as computers were computer games, I can still remember having my own Grandstand Game Console which allowed me to play ping-pong amongst other things way back in the Seventies.

Since then I've been fascinated with computer games, and in particular with the god style and combat style games. These two styles more than any other have always held my fascination, so much so that I jumped at the chance to review Microsoft's latest game Halo: Combat Evolved.

Halo, the first person shooting game, captured the hearts and imagination of the gaming community in 2002 when it was launched on the Xbox, with awards such as "Game of the Year" by electronic Gaming Monthly, and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science.

Shrek—DreamWorks’ lovable green ogre—has been the source material for, and direct cause of, many Shrek videogames seeing the light of day. Until now, almost all of these Shrek-based titles have been action adventure games. But Activision and Shaba Games now bring Shrek SuperSlam to the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox. And, in a break from the norm, it’s a fighting game similar to Super Smash Bros. (Nintendo).

Shrek SuperSlam is one of those games designed with multiplayer in mind; though this doesn’t mean that SuperSlam lacks a solid—if somewhat short—single-player mode. In the Story mode, Donkey invites his friends over to watch some TV, but his little foals won’t go to sleep. So, Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Puss in Boots, Gingerbread Man, Prince Charming, and Pinocchio decide to create bedtime stories to get the little ones off to bed—and that’s pretty much all the Story mode in Shrek SuperSlam is. Each chapter is a short tale, which eventually leads to a fight where players must take on one or multiple opponents to bring the story to a happy end.

Not so long ago, the thought of a nearly perfect version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 for a portable gaming system was unthinkable. We've always wanted portable fighting games, but for the most part, we've never really expected them to stack up to their full-blown counterparts. Yet the Game Boy Advance has seen the release of several surprisingly uncompromised fighting games, and the new Street Fighter Alpha 3 is probably the best of them. The third and apparently final installment in Capcom's popular fighting game series marked the return of the entire cast of the legendary Street Fighter II, and it featured a number of other new and old characters to make for a huge roster of more than 30 fighters. Numerous gameplay modes and several other twists gave Street Fighter Alpha 3 incredible longevity, and in fact, Capcom has hardly even attempted to surpass Street Fighter Alpha 3 since its release more than four years ago. Now the entire game can be held in the palm of your hand and played on the go. While Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the Game Boy Advance does cut a few corners here and there, it takes a discerning fan to notice any real difference between this version and the arcade original--and that's pretty amazing.

Transformers: The Game is very much the archetypal movie-licensed game. It's got all the hallmark problems of the genre, including short length, overly simplistic mechanics, a barely-there story, and a bit of a sloppy feel. It is simply an excuse for fans of the upcoming live action film (and maybe even some fans of the old cartoons who, admittedly, will take pretty much anything they can get at this point) to run around, awkwardly beating up Autobots or Decepticons in various semidestructible environments. If that's all you want out of the game, then Transformers might provide you a few mild hours of entertainment. If you were hoping for something more, Transformers will probably just disappoint you.

The basic premise of the game is the same as the film's. The classic Transformers battle between good robots and evil robots has spilled over to planet Earth as the two warring sides search frantically for an artifact known as the AllSpark. The AllSpark is essentially the life force for all Transformers, which explains why they'd want to get it back. Sam Witwicky (voiced with appropriate "gee whiz!"-ness by Shia LaBeouf) is an average teenager who happens to hold the key to finding the AllSpark. From there, it's a race for both sides to find Sam and get the AllSpark. There might be more to the movie's plot than what is presented here, and you should really hope there is, because otherwise, we're all in for one exceedingly boring film. With the exception of a few bouts of basic dialogue between Sam and the various Transformers (including veteran TV series voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker reprising their roles as Optimus Prime and Megatron with about as much enthusiasm as you could hope for), there's almost no story to drive the game forward. In some respects that's not surprising, simply because with this method, almost none of the film is spoiled for you.

Max Payne 2 - Full free game download

"Short but sweet" is a good way to describe 2001's Max Payne, as well as its newly released sequel. Actually, the main difference between Max Payne 2 and its predecessor involves more of the circumstances under which the games arrived than anything existing in the games themselves. The original was victim to multiple development delays and spent years in the making, but, despite being a relatively brief experience, it was a thrilling, stylish, violent action game that was ultimately worth the wait. The sequel, on the other hand, was announced just months ago and hit store shelves on exactly the day it was supposed to. This new Max Payne, billed as "a film noir love story," was certainly worth the wait too, though this time, the wait was brief. As long as you go into it without expecting a dramatically different--or longer--gameplay experience than the original, Max Payne 2 won't disappoint. On its own merits, it's a stunning shooter that's got a bit too much plot and is over too soon, though it's still incredibly intense and, by all means, worth experiencing.

You know, there is a lot of competition for your gaming dollar when it comes to RPGs. And when one catches on, it almost is a given that, in order to keep you adventuring in these fantasy world's, an expansion pack (or two) will inevitably come out. Followed closely by the always popular "Gold" edition, that typically has all of these expansions and maybe a little something extra.

For those of you who may have missed it, Sacred came out last year to generally decent reviews. The game, while firmly rooted in the fantasy realm, featured a selection of six characters like the Mage, the Gladiator and the Dark Elf. Players selected a character and went forth on various missions. What made this a little different from the similar Diablo, was that the game was truly open ended. You could choose to go on one mission, or go somewhere completely different and find other missions. Sure there are lots of RPGs out there with non-linear gameplay, but this one really had that feeling of freedom that some other, ahem ... titles seemed to miss.

Once more to Hogwarts. The fall has become Harry Potter's season, thanks to Warner Brothers and their film franchise. (Yes, last year the movie came early, but don't expect it to happen again.) And with the film comes EA's inevitable series of tie-in games, which faithfully replicates action and dialogue. This time, however, the adventuring spirit has been left behind, leaving the game a little pallid compared to its film and novel brethren.

Anyone who's also played the Game Boy or DS version of the game will recognize the action. In fact, graphics aside, there's really not much difference between the versions. Players step in as Harry, Ron, or Hermione and navigate faithfully recreated scenes and environments from the novel/film. Much time is spent on Defense Against the Dark Arts, as that's where the action is, but soon enough Harry goes off to the Tri-Wizard Tournament to find his fate.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PC needs no introduction. Not only is this game in many ways better than its amazing predecessor Grand Theft Auto III, but it's also technically superior to the original version of Vice City that was released on the PlayStation 2 a number of months ago. Like GTAIII for the PC, Vice City is identical to the original PS2 version in terms of content, so if you've already played that version to death, you won't find the PC version to be much different. However, the PC version of Vice City does offer enhanced visuals and controls, improved loading times, and a few extra frills. More importantly, it offers the same refreshingly open-ended gaming experience, which has occasionally been reviled for its controversial subject matter, but has far more often elicited much-deserved praise. Simply put, if by some chance you've put off playing Vice City up till now, don't wait any longer.

Everyone's favorite carjacking simulation is back to remind you why you should lock your doors in traffic. Grand Theft Auto 2 delivers in all the same areas as its predecessors, while fixing a couple of the annoying little problems and adding a touch of depth in the process. But Grand Theft Auto 2 is largely the same as the original top-down driving action game and its mission pack, London 1969. So while all the fun of going on a crime spree is intact, so are most of the previous games' flaws.

There's a bit of story to go along with Grand Theft Auto 2, but it really makes no difference: As a budding young criminal, you are striving to make a name for yourself in a near-future world filled with drugs, guns, and turf wars. Each of the game's three levels is populated by three different gangs, each of which runs a section of the city. The gangs are roughly identical - only different colors and different gang vehicles separate them. Each gang has a set of pay phones, which you can answer to take on odd jobs, as in the first game.
